OH COME ON!!!

So, read on twitter about a student graduated from STPM expressing her disappointment of not getting any place in any Law School in Malaysia, and particularly UM and UKM, the top 2. 

She emphasized on how good her grades are. 3.92 CGPA and Band 5 for MUET. She wanted to get an offer from at least a Law School but she got an offer from another university offering another different kind of course. 

She then express how disappointing it is that her dream to become a lawyer comes to an end. Well, yes I understand. 

But all her irritating tweet keep saying that the system should be revise. Siap mention Dr Maszlee lagi. 

She sounds mad that it is impossible for a Straight A's student and a Band 5 in MUET are not accepted into a Law School. Well yes, good result will give you hope that you will be accepted to any university that you wish but it does not guarantee you to be accepted to a course that you want especially courses that require you to go through an interview first. 

In particular LAW. In this "Malaysia Baharu", there are 5 Law School offered from IPTA. 4 of it requires interview. Only one does not need an interview. 

When you get the interview, it means your good grades are more than enough to qualify you to take the course that you want. But, to ensure your place in that university, you must pass the interview. If you screwed your interview, then kirim salam la. 

That is what applied to Law. The interviewers must have their own demand on what kind of student do they want. In Law, I believe your ability to speak very well are very important. It is a credit that you have experience in debate or public speaking or the same kind of thing but what matters is your ability to speak. Ability to speak does not mean you can give a full speech about a particular topics but the way you converse with the people. If you answers a question only with one words. Do you think that will create a good conversation? Of course it won't. Thus, the conclusion is, you just don't meet their expectation.
